SCHOLARS FORUM
About G&B-Net:
G&B-Net (Galicia & the Bukovina forum) is a web based platform enabling global academic discussions. Its goal is to stir academic and intellectual discussions on issues related to Galicia and Bukovina in the past and in the present, with the participation of senior researchers and young researchers from the international community. The discussions are open for every member of the forum.
Objectives:
The primary objective is to bring together senior and young scholars and graduate and doctoral students from various disciplines who are engaged in the study of subjects related to the Jews of Galicia and Bukovina. The establishment of this forum is intended to expose young scholars and graduate and doctoral students to new research being conducted in this field; to promote collaboration; and to advance research in the field
In the context of the forum, workshops are held twice each semester and once during the summer vacation. Lectures are delivered at these workshops by leading scholars in the field from Israel and abroad; each lecture is followed by a discussion of the topic of the lecture. In addition, in some of the workshops, the participants will present their research studies.
